Willie Nelson is one of the most successful country music singer-songwriters in history, releasing 68 studio albums and 10 live albums. He wrote his first song at the age of seven and joined his first band at ten, playing concerts as a lead singer and guitar player while still in high school. He spent the ‘50s and ‘60s writing songs for established acts such as Ray Price and Patsy Cline, as well as releasing a string of albums on Liberty and RCA beginning with his debut …And Then I Wrote in 1962. In 1973, he signed to Atlantic Records and put out Shotgun Willie, which veered into outlaw country, a stark contrast from the mainstream Nashville sound and clean-cut country artists of the era. 1975’s Red Headed Stranger and 1978’s Stardust followed on Columbia Records, both garnering commercial and critical success. The ‘80s saw the release of No. 1 albums Honeysuckle Rose, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Always on My Mind, and The Promiseland, as well as Nelson joining Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson in the country supergroup The Highwaymen, touring and releasing three studio albums between 1985 and 1995. Nelson continues to release a new album almost every year and delight ticket buyers in live shows to this day.

    Willie fan!!!

    Loved the concert!!! Willie rocked it as usual! Was very disappointed not to see and hear Luke!! Advertised as Willie and family and was. sooo looking forward to seeing his son!

    Great Show / Terrific Venue

    We love the venue, although it wasn't clear to my daughter and I where to go to pick up Will Call tickets. Fortunately, after waiting in the wrong line for about 30 minutes, an employee was nice enough to personally escort us to the place where we needed to be and even asked if it would be okay if we skipped the line (not because we asked - he was just being nice). Well, we didn't get to skip the line, but it wasn't long before we had our tickets and were inside the venue. The show was great. Willie and Friends put on such an outstanding show that it's hard to believe he's 91 years old. He still sounds wonderful. The opening band The Mavericks were very entertaining as well. We loved the accordian player! I have nothing bad to say about the entire experience other than maybe better signage directing people to the Will Call gate.

    This wasn’t my first time. Willie seemed to be doing better than a year or so ago when he was having some health issues. Once again I was amazed by his performance. Truly one of a kind. Had a great time with great people and a great venue.

    I was amazed to hear how great Willie sounded! He’s still got that wonderful voice even at the age of 91! The guitar playing was great too. I’m just sooo happy I got to see & hear him again.

    Willie for President

    When a 91 year old entertainer can walk across a stage unattended, you know you are in for a great show!! Willie played for an hour, non-stop. Sang old hits, added current nuance to old lyrics and played on. Watching this man enjoy his music as much as his fans is quite the experience.

    Willie Nelson was great even at 91. Wished we would of seen him 20 years ago. The venue was great and the weather was awesome. I will go back to the Ozark Amphitheater for future concerts.

    I should have went to see him last year. I was delighted to see him but seems the last year has really slowed him down. Which at 91 he was still doing good but I heard last years concert was better..

    Willie doesn’t have the stamina he use to. I’ve attended show for almost 50 years. I love and admire how he still performs at 91. Still plays his beloved guitar Trigger.
