It’s Friday night, the end of a busy work week. Maybe you had to juggle all the day to day aspects all week and now you need a break.

Well, I’m right here with you! Everyone needs there chill days without worrying about adding dinner time shenanagins into the mix.

You dial up the pizza restaurant and place the order. The wait time is between 115-186 minutes. As a matter of fact, this was a real quote I got when I ordered pizza the last time. I don’t know about you but, I was ready for pizza within a reasonable time, not the next day.

Making this sourdough pizza crust recipe cuts down on all of that. All it takes is a few minutes of your time the night before or the same day and you get to use your sourdough starter.

Let the pizza dough double in size and now you’re on the way to making homemade pizza with a chewy and crunchy sourdough pizza crust.

Likewise, you can also make it fun for the kids and let them help out or create there very own original pizza. Sounds like a win win to me!

Add the sourdough starter mixture to the dry mixture and combine with dough whisk or wooden spoon and until you can’t anymore. Use your hands to knead the dough to come all together. This should take less than 2 minutes. They dough will go from a little dry to being a little sticky. You’re done kneading when you get to this point.

Pour a little olive oil in a bowl and roll the sourdough pizza dough around until it’s coated.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a tea towel and let it double in size on the counter for 3 to 4 hours. This time range depends on the temperature of your house. If it colder in the house, it may take longer for the pizza dough to double in a size as opposed to a warmer environment.
