There are many leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, some more credible than others. These provide an exciting insight into the content of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, much of which is officially being kept firmly under wraps. Although with that being said, many rumors should be taken with a grain of salt depending on the source; not every leaker is reliable, and even those who are can sometimes get things wrong.
Nevertheless, reliable sources such as Riddler_Khu and Centro Leaks have been providing Pokémon fans with many tantalizing hints at what is to come. If even some of these prove to be true, as many of these Pokémon leaks seem likely to be, then The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is shaping up to be an excellent addition to the base games. The two-part Pokémon DLC is due to release later this year and will introduce players to new Pokémon and locations in addition to expanding Scarlet and Violet’s Pokédex with even more Pokémon from previous generations.

8 A Wishing Shrine Would Make Pokémon Pay-To-Play
As reported by Dexerto, one disconcerting online rumor provided by Twitter’s dustygogoat suggests that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC will include a ‘Wishing Shrine’, which accepts real-world money in exchange for items and Pokémon. Although it is impossible to say for certain, the credibility of this rumor does seem somewhat doubtful as this would be a dramatic change in The Pokémon Company’s established practices. Moreover, such a feature would undoubtedly alienate many fans. Of course, it is also possible that this is actually partially true, and that this Wishing Shrine instead uses in-game currency; a far more palatable concept for many.
7 The Indigo Disk Might Introduce Move Customization
The ‘Move Tailor’ is the focus of a new leak that is attributed to ‘Leaker K’. As reported by Centro Leaks, the Move Tailor will purportedly allow players to customize their Pokémon’s moves in some way, which may suggest the existence of alternate attack animations or even a way to alter power and accuracy. The ability to relearn old event moves has also been given as an example. If the Move Tailor is real, they are expected to appear in The Indigo Disk DLC, however, although reputable, Leaker K is notoriously vague, so this information could, unfortunately, be a misinterpretation.
6 Terastallization Could Be About To Receive An Upgrade
According to another leak from Centro Leaks, it seems that the DLC may include changes to Terastallization. What sounds to be a fairly large number of Pokémon may be able to gain new Terastal forms, in what appears to be a situation similar to the Gigantamax variant of Dynamaxing. Details indicate that this new phenomenon will be connected to the Pokémon’s specific Tera-type, with certain Tera-types prompting this new version of Terastallization. Although light on details, this is quite possibly true; the source of this information previously leaked the initial DLC announcement, proof that they have access to accurate information.
5 The Indigo Disk May Be Coming Next Year
One somewhat disappointing rumor suggests that despite being billed for a Winter 2023 release, The Indigo Disk may in fact be delayed until 2024. This information comes from the same source as the new Terastallization leak, so it is clearly quite trustworthy. The often-cryptic leaker Riddler_Khu provided a screenshot of some of the information posted to 4Chan last month, and although it seems disheartening, the delay is currently believed to only be a few months at most; Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's DLC will almost certainly still release this winter, but is now believed to be coming after just the new year.
4 Masks Seem To Be The Next Big Pokémon Accessory
Something else that will apparently be introduced in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC is a special kind of mask. It is already known that the mascot Legendary of The Teal Mask, Ogerpon, wears the titular artifact, but now it seems that other Pokémon may be joining in the fun when the first part of the DLC releases. More specifically, Centro Leaks suggests that these new masks may serve a similar function to the hats seen in Terastalization. As such, perhaps this even ties into the new Terastal forms, using masks instead of hats to indicate the Tera Type.
3 Many Familiar Pokémon Will Be Returning To Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
As reported by Sportskeeda, data mining has revealed what appears to be a complete list of the Pokémon which will be returning in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. It appears many classic Pokémon previously included on the internal Pokédex have been removed by Game Freak, a move similar to that which preceded PokémonSword and Shield’s own DLC Pokémon additions. The list includes Pokémon from every region and even suggests the regional starters are coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC. Given the evidence, this leak seems highly likely to be accurate, and as such makes for fascinating reading.
2 New DLC Area Glimpsed In Pokémon Battle
Twitter user mattyoukhana, who is responsible for the data mining of the Pokédex, has also uncovered other intriguing aspects of the DLC, including several game assets. Perhaps most notable of these is a ‘tips’ image showing a battle in an unknown space. Here, four Pokémon face off in the middle of an extremely colorful plaza of some kind as hordes of academy students watch on. The presence of lanterns and stalls suggests this is Kitakami, in the middle of its festival. Again, this leak seems highly trustworthy, and as such offers an intriguing glimpse at The Teal Mask’s setting.
1 Eternal Flower Floette May Soon Be Available
Earlier this year, Riddler_Khu caused a stir when they uploaded an image of Eternal Floette to Twitter. The image was taken by some to indicate that a visit to Kalos was part of the new Pokémon DLC, although the reveal of Kitakami and Blueberry Academy would seem to disprove that. However, it is possible that this unique form of Floette may still be making an appearance. As described by Dexerto, there is strong evidence that players may finally receive Eternal Flower Floette in a leaked Pokémon Home sprite list, which includes a sprite of the as-yet unavailable form.
Of course, not all of these leaks are equally likely to be true. The Wishing Shrine, for example, is a potent rumor, but also one which clashes with the current Pokémon brand. At the same time, other leaks, particularly those related to the additional Pokémon coming to The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, seem to practically be guaranteed at this point. But in the end, the exact veracity of these leaks will only be determined when more details about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC are officially announced, or when said DLC is finally released.
